Battle Version Weld On Kits for Front lower control arms are designed to add up to 2 inches of length to your control arms while getting rid of the rubber bushing. The kit is very simple and can be welded on with ether a mig or a tig.
DO NOT use an arc or torch to weld the kit!!!
To install first you must take off the lower arm.
Next measure 3 3/8ths inches from the inside of the arm from the top and mark a line.
Also measure 3 1/4 inches from the bottom. Then mark a line to your top line or mark. This will be the line you want to cut on. Notice that it is at an angle.
Then place the top piece (with a hole to fit adjuster end) and adjuster end into the control arm and weld in place. Be sure to clean the surfaces before you weld and be sure to weld as much of the area as possible. Be very careful not to damage the inside threads. To do this, its easiest to leave the adjuster in place but put a piece of tape around it as a cover.
Next weld the gusset plate on the bottom portion. Let it cool off and then paint it to prevent rust. Before you put the adjuster and rod end back in, use some anti seize or thread lubricant and make sure the threads are clean. It can be very easy to strip the threads if you have not taken the steps to prevent weld slag from entering the threaded area of the adjuster so please be very careful of this.
Here is a picture of it welded on with the adjuster and rod end in place.
