AE86 Rear Lateral Rod

The adjustable lateral rod will tighten up cornering and allow you to center your rear end after you have lowered your car. It is made out of 6061 T6 aluminum, Brushed aluminum finish with a hex machined ends. The lateral rod has a teflon lined rod end on the body side with custom spacers and a rubber bushing on the rear end side. This was done to give you the best performance without sacrificing drivability. The rod end is self lubricating and never needs maintenance.

To install simply remove your stock rod, bolt on one side (preferably rear end side) and hold opposite end while twisting the center to adjust to length. This is to make sure you have the same amount of tread on both sides for maximum strength and adjustment. Once you have the lateral rod bolted up on both ends, simply turn the center till the rear end is center and tighten the jam nuts. To make sure it is center, use a tape measure on the inside of the body to the rear end at ride height (on each side). Sometimes your fenders will be different so try and stay away from using those as something to measure from unless your tire is rubbing.

Rear 4 Link Set

The 4 link rear suspension kit is made for the racer in mind but with rubber on the body side makes them suited for also a daily driver. They will give a lot tighter feel to car inputs and you will notice a significant gain in traction.

The rods are made out of 6061 T6 aluminum, brush aluminum finish with a hex machined ends. On the rear end side of the links, there are rod ends with spacers. The rod ends are a 3 piece design with a Teflon liner. On the body side there are custom made bushings with rubbers that are 80% polyurethane (tightest feel and not prone to cracking).

To install, it is best to keep the lengths as close to stock as you can. It is also easiest to first loosen all the bolts then replace the links one at a time. Once all the links are in, put the car to ride height (jack under rear end) and measure the links to make them equal top and bottom. It is also important to adjust the preload. To do this, adjust the length on just one of the arms, what you are looking for as you adjust it, is to find the spot that is not pushing or pulling the rear end and it will be the softest spot as you turn the rod. The further you are from this spot, the harder it will be to turn the rod.
